Think Tasmania – Plan your Tassie adventure

5 April 2011 No Comment

Think TasmaniaLooking for information about Tasmania?  We’ve found a great new website with interesting content and some fabulous images dedicated to Australia’s island state…

Tania and the team over at Think Tasmania are doing a sterling  job promoting all things Tasmanian. From Hobart to Launceston, St Helens to Strahan, they are criss-crossing the Apple Isle to research all sorts of things to do. And not just the big name attractions (although they are covered as well).

Sharing secrets that only the locals usually know about, their website is the perfect way to discover some hidden treasures. And they make it easy to keep in touch, with a regular newsletter and a dynamic Facebook page.

With the internet choked with advertising and jargon, it’s a relief to actually find such honest and straight-forward material. The articles published by Think Tasmania are all first-hand accounts, complimented by images they’ve taken themselves. All the content is designed to promote their local community; and they’ve even published some stories by expert guest authors to ensure the accuracy of their information.

Everyone who has ever lived there or enjoyed a holiday in Tassie is aware of the great local beaches, national parks, forests and reserves. And the fine food and wine is revered all over the world. The Think Tasmania website explores the places and people that shine on the state’s tourism stage, and along the way they have…

  • encountered wildlife
  • learned about heritage
  • delved into the treasure trove of markets
  • followed international sporting events, and
  • sampled the unique island culture

They are the first to admit they have the best lifestyle imaginable. But it’s pretty nice of them to share some of their experiences with the rest of us!

A little about the editor…

Since starting Think Tasmania, Tania has developed a real passion for her local
community. And now that her website has a solid readership, she has a
platform to offer assistance to other business owners. Tackling internet
promotions and social networking alone can be quite daunting. Just how do
you attract online traffic to your business? And will anyone ever notice your
single entity in the scheme of the world wide web?

Tania will save you! Well, save might be too strong a word. But she can
definitely help you get started. Building on the success of Think Tasmania,
Tania is now acting as a consultant and advisor to other local business owners.
Whether you need a little low-cost advertising to start with, or a whole wave of
promotion, having a support network is a reassuring place to start.

So if you want to join the troops, contact Think Tasmania  any time. Only
people passionate about the vibrant and happening Tassie state need apply.
And only people with a genuine interest in sharing good-quality, honest and
reputable local opportunities need bother. (Everyone else can join the queue
for the same old junk usually served up to internet surfers!!)
