How do I get to Cradle Mountain?

Directions to Cradle Mountain

One thing  that challenges visitors to Tasmania is finding the best route to Cradle Mountain.

It can be complicated with many small roads, alternative routes, turnoffs and options.

Trusting a GPS in Tasmania may be ok when travelling from one city to another,  but once you get onto the small country roads,  the suggested directions can become unreliable.  Remember a GPS just finds the shortest distance on a map not the best way, especially one the locals know and use!

To help solve this problem, Koby Blizzard, Tasmanian and Cradle Mountain local, has created very detailed , step by step instructions to help you out. They are perfect to print out or read online during your journey.  The estimated travel time is included.

To help you on your journey, Koby has included tips of things to see on your way. These are great ideas to break up your journey and see some recommended places in Tasmania.

If you are looking for public transport  there is also very detailed section:
