I did what I call the Cradle Mountain Walk too - back in 1979 - and the 6 days on the trail surviving on chocolate and peanut butter was one of the highlights of my three months in Australia too.</description>

No we have never been to Black Island but I actually double checked before I put up the shot as I had never heard of it either.
It is near Strahan (I hope!) This is the link to a map of it (as taken by the photographers camera GPS)
